Hi Jennell, I was trying to reach you via facebook in response to your message but the system would not allow.
The following are some details about our film project in development. The campaign for Lady Bangkok Buddha Boy is about the lives of a handful of Kathoeys (also known as ladyboys). If we can serve to help save the lives of trans-gendered youth as in the case with Leelah whose story was heart breaking, we will have served our purpose through the medium of film. We felt Leelah’s staunch Christian value system needed to be revised which is why the setting for this film is in Bangkok where Bhuddism is practiced widely.
We see you as an advocate for the LGBT community and your words have helped to clarify misconceptions regarding the transgender community as well as to raise social awareness particularly in areas where freedom of expression is still suppressed.
At this time, we would love to invite you to our next film fundraising event. It will take place at a rather awesome Thai restaurant we have discovered and we will have some eats, drinks and performances that evening.
While producer credits are based on financial contribution towards our fundraising campaign launched with IndieGoGo we also encourage social advocacy wherever possible to help communicate the campaign.
This is a preview link to the campaign:

Our last film Miss D premiered at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival 2012 and went on to screen in over twenty countries worldwide. The intention for this picture apart from the International FIlm Festival circuit is a theatrical release followed by a network placement.
Feel free to reach out should you have any questions about the project. I truly hope you can collaborate in some way with us. Here is our website for your perusal. http://www.idafilms.net
